Yellow Fish Road Volunteer Event

The City of Markham’s Environmental Services Department is looking for fun, engaging volunteers who are interested in protecting our local waterways.
We are looking for individuals to help us host our second Yellow Fish Road Event! The event will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Centennial Community Centre, in Markham. Our goal is to educate our community about storm water pollution and the importance of protecting our local waterways.
This volunteer opportunity is a great chance to build skills in organization, event planning & hosting, time management, customer service, and environmental education.
The event will consist of a free lunch, an interactive presentation and a community painting activity where our participants and volunteers go out and paint yellow fish above neighborhood storm drains.
Sign up today at http://www.myimpactpage.com/ (Yellow Fish Road Community Event can be found under opportunities).  For more information please contact Holly Newton (HNewton@markham.ca)
