The Steering for Steer Friends Automotive Festival returns for its fifth year, uniting car enthusiasts and the community in support of Steer Friends, a charity dedicated to individuals with disabilities. This exciting fundraising event features a premium indoor showcase, free outdoor show car parking, live entertainment, kids zone, industry vendors, food trucks, prizes, awards, cash raffles, and a stunning display of exotic, modified, classic, and vintage cars, plus motorcycles.

All proceeds benefit the Steer Friends Capital Building Fund, helping create a fully inclusive facility for individuals with disabilities and complex care needs.

Addressing Emotional Eating

Join our Registered Dietitian, Gigi Loong, for an hour-long online workshop to understand what may be contributing to emotional eating. You will learn new skills and strategies that can help to reduce emotional eating behaviours. This workshop is only for residents living in Markham or Stouffville. Inclusion Volunteer- Children’s Chess

Inclusion volunteers will be assisting participants with special needs and offer encouragement. They will assume duties such as greeting and welcoming chess participants, collecting additional supplies, supervising participants and any other activities pertaining to the support of program members.

Endometriosis Workshopp

On Tuesday, October 22nd from 6:30pm-8pm at Markham Village Branch Public Library there will be an FREE Endometriosis Workshop facilitated by the registered charity, Endometriosis Events. During the workshop the co-founders will be discussing their lived experience with endometriosis, the importance of menstrual health, physical and mental well-being and self advocacy. Participants will also take part in art therapy session.
