Teresa Cheng is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and has been a fundraising professional in the non-profit sector for over eight years. This follows an earlier post-graduate certificate in Fundraising and Volunteer Management from Humber College and a BA in Family and Social Relations from the University of Windsor. She has worked with local, national and even global non-profit organizations in Canada, US and UK. She is an active member of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Toronto Chapter where she served as Marketing Chair for AFP Congress 2018. Teresa is currently a Specialist, Annual Giving at Mackenzie Health Foundation and serves as a committee member with AFP Global’s Women’s Impact Initiative, a committee advocating for women’s issues in the charitable sector.

Teresa is excited to share her passion for volunteerism in the charitable sector as a board member for Volunteer Markham as a way to give back to a place where, no matter where she was, she has always called the City of Markham, her home.
