Bill 23 Passed… What Happens Next?

In the fall of 2022, the Ontario government passed Bill 23, More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022. Along with a number of changes to the Greenbelt and the Ontario Wetland Evaluation System, the reforms were arguably the biggest change to land use planning and environment protection CELA has seen in decades.

Now that the Bill has passed, many of us are left wondering – what’s net? What does this mean for our communities? What can we do to help?
