SUMMARY:Bill 23 Passed... What Happens Next?
DESCRIPTION:In the fall of 2022\, the Ontario government passed Bill 23\, More Homes Built Faster Act\, 2022. Along with a number of changes to the Greenbelt and the Ontario Wetland Evaluation System\, the reforms were arguably the biggest change to land use planning and environment protection CELA has seen in decades. \nNow that the Bill has passed\, many of us are left wondering – what’s net? What does this mean for our communities? What can we do to help? \nJoin this webinar to hear from Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA) lawyers Theresa McClenaghan and Jacqueline Wilson on Bill 23 and the associated impacts it will have on our communities\, including climate resilience\, community engagement\, affordable housing\, and protecting water and natural heritage. The webinar will also be a review of other recent land use and housing law proposals. \nRegistration required to receive the zoom meeting link that will be sent 24 hours before the start of the webinar. \n
