About
The Bookfest of Vaughan public libraries is around the corner! Join Jackie Han, founder of Origami Canada https://origamicanada.org, and his squad, learn about his creations, then learn how to fold amazing butterflies, maple leaves, boats, jumping frogs, etc.

Address: The book festival at Civic Centre Library, Vaughan

Time: from 2:30-4:00 pm on Oct 14.

Jackie Han is the winner of the 2020 Richmond Hill Arts Award for Youth. He has been passionate about creating origami models since he was six years old.

Jackie hopes that his love and passion for origami could be transformed into his community service impetus. His goal is simple–to let more people love origami, enjoy origami, and enrich their life experience. This is why he founded a special and professional art organization-Origami Canada, a widely free mobile origami teaching station for kids, parents, for seniors in our communities. He engages the community by promoting the traditional art of origami!

During the COVID pandemic, he has also set up multiple virtual platforms of outreach delivery that enthusiasts can enjoy in the comfort of their homes. Jackie would like to let everyone know that in addition to computers and games — there is an amazing world of fun and creativity to be found in one uncut piece of paper! Let’s go Origami!
