Newmarket District FIRST Robotics Competition

This is a high school age robotics competition run by FIRST Robotics Canada (not for profit organization) . It will involve 34 teams from around the province of Ontario. The event will take place in Newmarket at the Ray Twinney recreation complex. Set up takes place on March 8 and the competition itself runs March 9 and 10.
We need volunteers to assist on Friday March 8 to set up the game arena. Volunteers are also needed to tear down field on March 10 in the evening.
There are other volunteer opportunities during the event itself. These could require some training and will require what we call Youth Protection Screening. More information can be provided upon inquiry.
