Spectacular Saturn
Join us at the Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory to celebrate Spectacular Saturn at Opposition and learn about the many wonders of the ringed planet – from its host of moons to its hexagonal polar storm! Participants will have views through telescopes, including the largest telescope in Canada (weather dependent), learn interesting facts and stories about Saturn, and enjoy fun activities.

A presentation and discussion about what exciting celestial events to look for each season. The events and phenomena will be explained using simple language, with recommendations about how best to observe and photograph them. After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to view through alternate telescopes outside (weather dependent), while interacting with RHDDO Astronomers! Ages 10 years and up (participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult).
