DESCRIPTION:Date & Time: \nSep 14\, 2023 01:00 PM \nDescription; \nEach year Maytree paints a portrait of the economic dimension of poverty. \n“Welfare in Canada” uses data from provincial and territorial government sources to show the total amount of income available to households relying on social assistance. \nThe report’s authors\, Jennifer Laidley\, an independent consultant\, and Mohy Tabbara\, policy advisor at Maytree\, will provide a brief overview and present the key takeaways. \nTyler Meredith\, Maytree fellow and former senior economic advisor to the prime minister\, will speak to the federal government’s role in Canadian income security policy. \nMaytree president Elizabeth McIsaac will moderate a discussion following the presentations. \nSubmit questions in advance to help shape the discussion.
