SUMMARY:Strategies for Life: Learning Disabilities Association York Simcoe
DESCRIPTION:Designed for youth and adults diagnosed with\, or suspected to have\, a Learning Disability and / or ADHD\, between the ages of 19 to 29. This is a nine (9) session individual counseling program that focuses on the socio-emotional effects of LDs and ADHD. \nFinal Dates and times to be determined upon registration* \nThis is a 9-week program that offers supportive counseling to someone who has or may be suspected to have a learning disability or ADHD. \nLearning Objectives: \nUnderstanding how your Learning Disability and / or ADHD affects your life. \nUnderstanding barriers and creating coping strategies. \nUnderstanding interpersonal relationships and developing social skills. \nUnderstanding your mental health and developing a toolbox of anxiety\, stress\, and coping strategies that work for you. \nBuilding decision-making and advocacy skills to reach your full potential. \nWe are currently offering you the Strategies for Life program at zero cost to you*!\nFee for 9 weeks sessions:  \n$60 non members\n$56 for members\nSubsidy available \nSubsidy Criteria: \nMust be between the ages 19 to 29 years old.\nMust have a diagnosis of Learning Disability and / or ADHD.\nMust be a residence of York Region or Simcoe \nYou can register online at our website or contact us for more information: \nhttps://ldays.org/strategies-for-life/ \n
