DESCRIPTION:Are you passionate about trees and want to grow the urban forest? Join LEAF for one of our Volunteer Orientations to discover how you can lend a helping hand!  \nDuring this interactive virtual session\, participants will learn about the LEAF mission\, our programs and the different volunteer roles that LEAF offers.  \nWe invite you to register  for our upcoming Virtual Orientation below and join the LEAF volunteer community this year!   \nSaturday\, August 29 Virtual Volunteer Orientation (10:30am to 11:30am)  \nDuring the interactive session\, you will learn how to support your local environment by getting involved with LEAF programs in Toronto\, York Region\, and Durham Region. Together\, we will explore the many volunteer opportunities available so that you can find the best fit for your skills\, interested and availability.  \nOpportunities include:   \nGetting your hands dirty as a Community Tree Planting Volunteer\nMaintaining pollinator habitats as a Garden Steward\nEducating the public as an Outreach Team Member\nCapturing the fun at a tree tour as an Event Photographer\nAssisting behind the scenes as an Office Volunteer  \nWhile you must be over the age of 18 to volunteer with LEAF\, please know that we still welcome folks of all ages at our  Community Tree Planting and Stewardship Events and are always happy to sign participants’ high school volunteer hours form.  Registrants will be provided a Zoom Meeting link to access the orientation.   \nThe event will be delivered online and can be accessed through a web browser or an electronic device with the Zoom app.  Internet access is required.  \nFor accessibility questions\, please contact Njoki[at]yourleaf.org .  \n
